What We Do

Doctor Consultation

We review gestational age, symptom severity, food and fluid intake, urine output, medical history, and allergies.

Vital Signs

We check blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to assess dehydration and your overall condition.

Tailored IV Therapy

IV fluids and any necessary medications are administered at the doctor's discretion.

Heartbeat Check

Depending on gestational age and your wishes, we can also check your baby's heartbeat.

Provider Coordination

Depending on your symptoms and situation, we will guide you to your primary obstetric provider.

Symptoms That Require
Immediate Medical Care

If you have any of the following symptoms, please contact your primary obstetric provider or an emergency medical facility first, rather than booking a home visit.

  • Drowsiness or confusion
  • Little to no urine output
  • Bleeding or severe abdominal pain
  • Fever
  • Difficulty breathing or chest pain
  • Severe headache or vision changes
  • Rapidly worsening symptoms

Scope of Care & Safety

What We Cannot Provide

  • Inpatient care
  • Care for emergencies requiring ambulance transport
  • Ongoing management of severe hyperemesis gravidarum
  • Deliveries
  • A substitute for prenatal checkups

Risks & Side Effects

IV therapy can involve pain at the needle site, bruising, swelling, leakage of fluid outside the vein, infection, feeling unwell, or allergic reactions. If your symptoms do not improve after treatment, or if the doctor judges it necessary, we will direct you to your primary obstetric provider or an emergency medical facility.
